PETP Sheets & Rods

PETP stands for Polyethylene Teraphthalate Polyester. Ensinger TECAPET PETP sheets are very hard, with strong rigidity and high dimensional stability. The water absorption rate of PETP is low and it has a good chemical resistance (except to alkaline).

Ensinger TECAPET PETP Sheets are available either as an amorphous or semi-crystalline thermoplastic. Whereas the amorphous type is highly transparent and has a lower mechanical strength, as well as substantially inferior sliding characteristics than the semi-crystalline type, semi-crystalline types have higher hardness, rigidity and strength with outstanding sliding behaviour and low sliding wear (compared to POM in damp or dry environments).
